I bought a ka24e a couple months ago, and the owner said it ran great, and he hit top speed on it before he pulled it out, then i saw a post on local forums showing his build and it said this

I took the engine in first, and found out the pistons had rusted to the cylinders, so now I have 9 to 1 compression pistons, and all new bearings and seals... among all the other parts. "
9:1 compression decent? and to fix this would i have to take off the head and take care of the rust?
damn he said it ran great.... hmmmm we'll see when i put it in this weekend.. if it runs..
any advice? i would take off the head and check but i would have to replace to much stuff when it could be a false statement...
