standalone competiable question

I am planning to get a standalone and my friend has a tomei reytec for S14. Does anyone know if it will fit on a S13 red top?? will it function normally beside the VTC??? What effect will there be??

I'd like to hear some feedback on this. I'm surprise to see there isn't more info on these. I've done quite a bit searching for reviews with no luck.
