Asian Girls

Do asian girls have a distinct sound to their voices? Not an accent, just the sound of their voice? Last week my girlfriend called me at work, and one of my employees answered the phone. When I got back in the office, he said that an asian girl had called for me. Now she's Vietnamese, but she has NO accent. She was born in San Diego, and speaks better english than my white self, so how did he know? She's a little bent that he said she sounded asian even though she doesn't have an accent. What up wit dat?

seriously, some people have that sick intuition when they hear people's voices. some are more intune then others. ive spoken with people over the phone and knew they were asian or white or mexican..etc etc and when we eventually met (example is like thru work, talking with people located in another region and wehn out on business, meeting them) i was right (sometimes am, sometimes not).

anyways, some people just can tell. i try not to prejudge. at least she is asian and your employee was correct. better then being incorrect, that could be insulting to some (mistaken nationality is what i mean here)

Nope. No bitterness. Just conclusions (read: "generalizations") drawn from years and years of observation and evaluation. Asian women are crazy, self-centered, uncompromising bitches that want anything and everything their way.

Oh yeah. Asian men are possessive, insecure, passive-aggressive twits that are still angry about a strict upbringing and a society that judges them by their intelligence and lack of penis size.

The bad thing about such generalizations is that these particular ones occur within race. Not even an "outsider-looking-in" type of viewpoint, but rather a pre-judged disposition against dating within your own race. Kind of how anti-religion is now "cool", interracial dating has become EXTRAracial dating in some cases. Why? Experiences and stereotypes based upon a new and constantly-evolving Asian-American culture that is so alien compared the cultures of their parents and grandparents.

Me? Sure, I'd probably date another Asian girl. It's just the stereotypical mannerisms that turn me off are still ringing in my ears. It would take a very refreshing personality to sway me at this point in time. So yes, to a certain extent I AM guilty of the descrimination that I also hate. I can do the same thing, but I am Asian. She probably does have a little bit of an accent. Most of us Asians can do this; it is like we have an Asian Radar or something.

I can tell what race an Asian women is by the sounds in her speech or they way she looks. There are little subtle things that give it away.

If she is mixed though, that is a different story. ;)
