if the coil packs go bad would the car shut off after 1500 then it come back on

no. if you're a little more descriptive tho, we may be able to point you in the right direction to what the problem may be.

If you unplug the coil pack and nothing happens, it's bad. End.

yup... use the process of elimination. If you unplug one coilpack, and it runs worse, that coilpack is good, or operating correctly. If you unplug another coilpack, and it runs the same, then problem found. But, like Z_U_L8ER said, be more descriptive.

Also, it might not be the coilpack itself, wiring to the pack could be the problem as well...

the car would shut off like ur battery cable came off then it would glich back on after a couple of sec s
but i think it might a relay in the ecu

If it turns completely off, hangs out for a few seconds, and then restarts, I think calling an exorcist is gonna be your best bet.
