Hey I got some questions with the wheels. My 95 SE has an offset of 42mm. I am looking for rims for a decent price in 18 or 19 inches but I dont want to buy rims that are only like 7 inches wide. I want rims at least 8 or 9 inches wide. I was thinking to put the newer chrome Cobra R rims on the car and getting custom Silvia Centercaps made to put on to replace the cobra. Unfortuanly the Cobra rims have an offset of 26mm. That would mean they would stick out about 2.1 inches and push farther in about 0.4 inches. I was going to look into a wide body kit anyway but tell me what you think. Or if you guys found some nice rims that would fit. Thanks

Well, I would advise against putting cobra rims on your car but whatever. Have you looked at any of the japanese rim manufacturers? Like volk, and other manufactureres that I can't seem to think of. Racing Hart is good too.

19" and a widebody kit? I hope you have some power to back that stuff up....
If you're goint to build a powerful, nicely suspended, quality parts and good looking car, go for Volk Racing, Advan, SSR, Work, Watanabe rims... if it's going to be a would-be carpet queen pile of rice, go for Axis, Tenzo R, Motegi, Konig, Velox etc. rims.

edit: The "look" of a certain offset depends on wheel width. +5 will fit fine on a 15x6.5 wheel, but will stick out a lot on a 15x8" wheel.

"unfortunately"? 26mm is a GREAT offset for the 240SX. The stock wheels sit in way too far.

Someone on this board has 17" Cobra R wheels on his 240SX, they look great. Watch around, you'll see the pic in his signature.

*bling bling*

sorry. I am uncertain on my choice of rims as well. I have been told by many a car enthusiast to NOT have a black car due to the telling of the color. (You see every ding adn dent and blah blah blah) But i am pretty sure I'll end up with a black car with simple five/six spoke black rims....

but as for offset, i assume this would be a good time to ask.
wtf is offset?

That sounds like it would be flush or nearly flush with the fender to me. Go for it. Don't listen to what these other guys are saying except AKADriver.
