Oh I didnt know you had to sign up. Dude on a forum a hang out on from time to time decided to custom make a A/C setup for his no A/C civic. Here ya go see if you can understand what he is trying to do:

This is what he wrote:
Not having AC in the Civic sucks ass, so I decided to try something. And this is what she is. It still isnt complete and there has been a lot of trial and error in this so far. How it works? Its simple, fill the cooler with ice water and turn it on. Cold air is pulled from the heater core via the fan.
Started off as a standard 28 quart Coleman cooler. Add in a 500gph bilge pump, a heater core from a B13, a chunk of dash plastics from a B13, and 7" radiator fan, and this is what happens.
During my couple tests she does blow cold air, however, not enough. I have since sealed the heater core and fan with caulk because I realized the fan was collecting too much ambient air and not drawing directly through the heater core like it should be. I am currently waiting for the glue on the "air vent" to set so I can go do another test.

Hahaha that's what I do too. Good for the motor, good for your (and your girl's) hair, it's good all around.

... but did it work?? LOL

BTW The 255 A/C sucks when it's 115 degrees outside.

Mello - when it's 115* outside, I'm inside some casino earning dinner/clubbing money. I swear I don't know how you guys in Vegas do it all the time.

We just try to minimize the time we're outside.. But even driving up to the gas station for some smokes and beer is brutal... No ac+gutted s13 = HELL. I need a new DD....

I have, its not so bad, you get used to it. The trick is to increase the temp in your house before you leave, that way when you get home and walk in 85* feels nice and cool.

This set up is not practical ... whynot get a power converter for cig lighter and plug in a swamp cooler! lol jk.

^ to everyone joking about the cig lighter, you could never pull enough amps for a big enough inverter to run a swap cooler. Especially not with the stock 5a or whatever fuse for the cig lighter LOL

Best way to do it is the picture I posted above haha. Anyone notice the sticker on his spare tire cover hahhahaha
