Sent him 3 emails so far, and it's been over a week without a response. Is he out of town or something?

It always takes me about a month to reach that guy after about 5 emails. You're not the only one with that problem.

I've read so-so things about the jwt, so looking strictly for the enthalpy tune.

Fuck rom tunes, you guys are cheap, real cheap. I will never get a rom tune again.. For the work involved in an rs enthalpy "tune" it should really only be about $200 max.. People need to stop taking the easy way out, go bikirom, go aem, go haltech, etc..
I've had bikirom twice, the software is okay, still under development, but is fabulous..

If I had the time or money to buy a PFC and get it tuned, I would. I just can't afford downtime right now.

for the majority of setups that people run, there is nothing wrong at all with a rom tune from a dyno.....

Each car is different smart guy... even with the same mods. The majority of people are cheap, lazy, and impatient... i was one of them a while ago.

He said rom tune from a dyno, not a "mail order" rom tune. They are totally different.
But yeah, Scott has tuning skills. He does not have the resources to provide good customer service skills. I would trust him to tune my car on the dyno, but I would not buy a mail order rom tune from him. This is from personal experience.

touche, but unless youre looking to build a strictly track car, I dont see the point of going to a stand alone. like you said rom tunes are cheap and get the job done quick. I think in the end it breaks it down to who wants gobs and gobs of power in a track slut and whos content with mild power, nice little daily, sometimes tracked.
also, getting in touch with scott at this time of year is like pulling teeth.

Ive tested cars with JWT on the dyno, the new tunes they are putting out are a lot more aggressive and stoich imo.

http://www.hybridynamics.com/
Hybridynamics sells ROM tunes as well. They cost less, and have the same results.
//edit apparently their website is under construction. Call them to find out more.

Not on hand. It was a while ago.
You could pick up a PFC (or AEM, Haltech) and Ill send you a base map for a fee (just need to re-map some cells in the fuel map) the timing map is dyno tested. :coold:

Hmm sounds tempting! Gotta save up for a PFC or something .. but my dilema is that I need a daily driver before winter (saving cash for that too) so I'm trying to get my car working (just working out little details) for little-est cash.
Bah, I'll wait a few more days and see what scott says ... in the mean time, maybe start looking for used pfc! lol.
And for stever. setup is
s13 redtop sr
s14 t28
hks 264 step 2 cams (with bc springs and retainers)
650cc deathwerks
z32 maf
not sure what else to include

91 octane or 94?

what's yours tuned for?
I'd go for 94.

Scott leaves that up to you. Tune it for what you normally drive it on, considering gas prices now, ugh

haha 87 octane? I'd go for 94... Looking into buying a tercel for a dd. shitty ass car but sips on gas.

matt mines on 91 as the closest place to me that has 94 is cornwall, shannonville ottawa or montreal all about 1 hour away so figured id get it tuned to 91 and if i put 94 in it it wont hurt it.
