So i've been getting tired of watching my coolant temps and worrying about overheating. I went to a trackday a few months ago and couldn't get in more than 3 laps at a time without hitting over 200F. I've had a 1995 Integra for a few years and with the Fluidyne radiator in it i never had any problems overheating AT ALL! So one day i measured the integra radiator and my stock 240 radiator and low and behold the core size is exactly the same. Only difference is the upper inlet is about 2 inches more towards the driver's side on the integra rad. The mounts are a little different too but nothing a little fab work can't fix. Now you may ask why not just get a 240SX fluidyne rad. Well they are consistently $100-$150 cheaper for the integra rad. Way more integras were made than 240's(especially S14s). Anyway so last week i saw that the temps around here were about to hit the 90's and i've been having to run my heater on full blast to keep the temps under 200F just driving around town. I knew this wasn't going to be comfortable so i went ahead and got the integra Fluidyne. Install was really easy. Anyway here's some pics.

Here's a pic showing the difference in the upper inlets. Just turned my rad hose a little and it fits perfect. It is up against the IC pipe but that will be fixed soon as i'm gonna fab up a new upper intake plenum for my RB20.

I haven't hit 180F yet! I had one 14" fan as a puller and a 10" as a pusher on the stock rad. They are now both mounted as pushers. I also removed the AC condensor so i know that helped some but the insurance of a great radiator is priceless. I may get some rubber isolators and add those for the mounts but it is mounted very tightly as is, so i'll probably only do that if i'm bored one day. Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think.

Wow +1 for you. Did you make those mounts yourselve?

Haven't people been using integra radiators for quite some time?

so what was your total cost if you don't mind me asking?
I was sort of considering getting a after market alum radiator too.

My car was close to overheating the other day tracking it and now with the summer coming, it will probably only get worse.

You need rubber between your mounts and the radiator.

Grounding out the radiator is dangerous.

I paid a little under $400 with tax from Summit. I have seen them for around $370 on ebay. The mounts are just some aluminum i had laying around. Took about 1/2 hour to make them.

not to be mean, but you can pick up a griffin and drop it in for that much. always good to have more options though.

Since 1995. That's the first time I saw it, and a slew since then. It's like we're starting the whole wave over again. Next thing we'll hear is S14 seats fit right into S13s.

Crazy, I know. To the OP, please use mounting insulators. Your radiator will thank you.

I was about to post "I think Russ mentioned this years ago."

Hey, did you guys hear how S13 KA24DEs have better cams? I'm gonna try swapping them into my S14, I'll report back.

But...good work discovering it randomly, on your own. As long as you're not asking stupid questions that have already been asked and answered dozens of times, it's all good.

I hate to burst your bubble but the fact you took out the AC condenser is more than likely reason why your temp has gone down.

Read this:

Yes i know it's not new info just wanted to show how easy it was to install. I know taking the ac condensor helped vastly but i also have absolutely no ductwork either so the airflow through the radiator is not exactly optimal either.

curious about ur fan controller, i had a similar set up and when the probe is sticking threw the radiatior is was cutting the fans on at different times(false readings) because the fans would kick on and cool down the probe and not the coolant i put the probe in the rad hose and it cut on at the same temp every time.

just FYI, it helped me out so im relaying the info, not lookin for flaws just tried to help out

and the main thing about the mounts would be vibration, just use the stock rubber inserts and fab a mount

dont get me wrong the set up is nice

Thanks. The temp controller is pretty consistent. I had issues with the stock rad when the probe was not really a tight fit. My engine appreciates the new rad anyway.
