In lieu of college this fall, I've decided I should trade in my '95 240 base model for something a little more practical. I bought this car about 2 years ago completely stock, automatic. I've since swapped in an SR20DET from a 96 Silvia, along with the 5-speed swap. The motor I bought was trashed within minutes of startup (there was a shim in cyl. #1) so I decided a build was in order. I bought a used head from someone, then brought the engine to Dent Sport Garage who did the build. The block is bored to 89mm with darton sleeves installed. Machine work was done by Reed's Machine Shop. I'm trying to dig up a list of internal parts used, shoot me a pm for a list which i should have tomorrow. Other than the engine build itself, all the work was done by yours truly. Turbo is a T25. Tuned by Dent Sport Garage.
On with a parts list:
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Z32 rear brakes with functioning e-brake
Car came with VLSD
Apexi N1 3in exhaust
DriveShaftShop 1 piece aluminum driveshaft
ORC 550ps twin plate clutch
stainless braided clutch line
Nismo engine/tranny mounts
Circuit Sports turbo outlet
Megan exhaust manifold
Stainless braided turbo oil/coolant lines
Greddy suction intake
Flex-a-Lite dual electric fans
Koyo radiator
HKS type-s front mount intercooler
Circuit Sports oil catch tank
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
autometer fuel pressure gauge
Z32 fuel filter
Power FC with FC commander
Apexi AVC-R boost controller
B&M short shifter

Not currently installed on the car, but sitting in my garage:
front 5-lug with extended studs
autometer electric water and oil press. gauge, mechanical boost gauge

Now the bad:
The car's 13 years old, and it came from New Hampshire. It has a small amount of rust. Mainly around the rear fender wells (widebody anyone?) but it's not terrible. There are 3 small holes on the dashboard in the center. There is a dent on the right rear quarter panel. There was a hole when I removed sound deadening on the drivers side floor, but I cut it out and patched it up. As of right now, the washer fluid spray doesn't work, and one of the e-brake cables is getting whacked by driveshaft weights.. I plan to fix these problems this week though, so it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I've only put about 500 miles on the new build, and the engine has given me zero problems. Car has NO a/c, cruise control, or sound deadening material.

On with the pics:

exhaust manifold/turbo, etc, aren't pictured in the photos, but will be in the ones I take tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry for the crappy lighting, I can get more pics tomorrow night per request.

I'm really looking for a 97-98 240sx 5-speed. Leaning heavily towards dark colors; black or blue. I really prefer stock or close to it (maybe suspension/wheels) and reliable, and I would REALLY love to have a southern car, and I am willing and able to drive across the country to make a trade (I need a vacation anyways..)
Please pm me or post here or e-mail me with lots of questions. E-mail is [email protected]

Sorry for the wordy post, but if you're reading this, thanks for reading!

Edit: E-brake cable fixed. Reverse lights working.

bump for a nasty car but the car really needs a bigger turbo.. other than that seems like a nice car..

Thanks guys.

As for the teeny turbo; I had originally planned to put a bigger turbo on it ofcourse, but when the engine crapped out I figured why not get it built? It was either that or get a new longblock, because the #1 cylinder was trashed, on the block and the head, hence the boring and new head. Then I crashed my dd maxima and got a grand for it, but it cost me nothing to fix, so I got the Power FC with that money. I was saving for a GT2871R but I decided I should continue my education instead, as it's a little more important.
So that's the story on the tiny T25. :hsdance:
