Cressidas are cool, but if you want one for a daily, just so you know they're not very reliable cars.

i heard techno toy has some coil overs now for the 89-92

if you want a 5 speed go with the 7m-gte 5 speed (you have to beat the trans tunnel a little put it works perfect)

if you do a 5 speed swap the clutch pedal doesn't line up right so you have to make a small hole in the firewall

supra lsd (if you want to bolt it up correctly you have to cut a small hole under the rear seats to bolt it up)

I LIKE CRESSIDA'S

when i had mine, it was just a shitty car but it looked cool.

my friend actually has S13 front suspension on his MX73 simply because it was cheaper, and it works great.

read here: http://forums.toyotacressida.net/forums/

I just picked up mine couple weeks ago. Have 5spd conversion from a MA70 NA supra. Have customer exhuast and lowered on Megan coilover. The coilover is a prototype and should be out real soon.

after market is not great and hard to find. I am search for LSD now and it's real hard to get.

But the MX83 is really nice daily. My 5 speed gets about 22mpg, the AT one I had average about 19mpg.

they are pretty reliable except the famous head gasket. 99% of them has problem but with a good metal HG and torque down right, they are pretty nice. Very solid chassis too. And they looks so cool slammed. Look at mine below.

My brother has an 87. It has the 5M-GE with an auto in it. Pain in the ass to work on. It is slow. Besides being hard to work on the motor, the motor has some unnecessary designs that are silly to me. Like the camshaft carrier towers. Basically making the head 3-piece and creating the chance for two massive oil leaks on either side of the motor. My brother puts in at least a quart a week. Also, he has wierd overheating problems, where the temp fluctuates inconsistently. Ive replaced the fan clutch (common problem) and coolant temp sensor, still does it. They do have some cool luxury features that were cutting edge for the day, but its not at all fun to drive. Finding parts for those things is very difficult. Probably because it was never deemed a car worth making aftermarket parts for in abundance. I see people using a lot of parts from other Toyotas to make things work.

cressida's are badass. i used to own one. i only sold it to get a 240 because of the market support. its really hard to find parts for the mx-73, but for the new ones its a lot easier because they have a lot of parts from the old supras.

try teh sexy cressida forum jzxproject.com

I like that one.. pretty clean.
Just think, probably not much theft demand on em :bigok:
you could probably hook it up and it would still be there when you leave the mall.

I think these are a growing cult car, as with all the old RWD toyotas. You can pick em up cheap as fawk.. my buddy did 140+mph in one lmao
