That's the thing about eBay. The way to find the deals is to find auctions with like 5 minutes left in them that are still low. I bought the laptop I'm using to type this from Dell Financial Services. They refurbish laptops that are coming off large corporate leases and sell them through eBay. With a warranty and support and everything. I was shopping for a Dell Inspiron after my Inspiron 7500 was stolen in a break-in. I saw this one when there were 2 days or so left in the auction, bookmarked it and watched it. It was the previous year's model, 700Mhz Pentium III, 256M RAM, 20G HD, a similar laptop at a store would go for upwards of $1100. And I only do Dells, they are the most reliable laptops in my experience. So anyway, this machine sat a $725 for like 2 days, I could see that 5 people had already bid, so I knew they were probably watching it too, waiting. I decided I was willing to pay up to $900 for the machine. I set an alarm and everything so I wouldn't forget to get back to it. When there were 36 seconds left in the auction it was still at $725, and put in my max proxy bid of $900. Turns out no one had a higher proxy bid submitted, and I was high bidder. Then I kept hitting refresh and watched the other bidders frantically try to exceed me...$745...$755...etc., but there just wasn't enough time left, and I ended up scoring the computer for $785. An awesome deal. Now that's good eBayin' if I do say so myself.

Did i ever say when i was gonna bid on it, my intentions where to bid on it right before it ended, if the price was still low, but the price went up ALOT.. so i am no longer gonna bid at anytime....Your too anal about things. calm down..

First off, when i found the the bid it was at 3 g's.... and whenever i borrow money, i ALWAYS pay it back.. And i never got my hopes up, im very happy with my sr powered 240 and my 55 porsche. .. And your little comment about bragging about the bid... Thats not bragging buddy... bragging is boasting about something i have or did.. I said i was thinking of bidding, because i have rode in two 350z's already and i liked it alot...

oh and by the way, my pops boss said he would THINK about lending me the money, it was never definite...
