you guys are impatient.. I don't have time to sit around refreshing this page or even go out to the storage unit.. It's not like the clip is sitting in my garage, I have to drive out in my free time (weekend) to get there..
So please be patient and bear with me here.. It's not that I'm not motivated to sell it, there's only so many hours in a day..
I have my email address on here, it's BY FAR the MOST EFFECTIVE way to contact me as I have mobile email accesses..

That dash looks great...
has this been compression tested?
do you know the millage (roughly)?
does it come with the rear diff/speed sensor? (necessary for a working S15 swap)

LOL I'm not in Canada... "Almost" though... I'm in NH (zip: 03276)
I dont know if this will work out... you've got a great price on this clip here but the cheapest freight service I can get to NH is upwards of 2 grand... which seems just stupid because I can ship a car here from the UK for less than that. Heck a friend of mine shipped his whole car here from SoCal for only $700
Most of the high pricing is due to the weight. 1200lbs seems like an excessive amount of weight, especially considering that the motorset alone weighs less than that.
unless you know of some reasonably priced service that can ship it.

weight is due to the whole rear subframe being included..

wow no kidding... this thing just keeps getting better.
I sent in a quote request to that company we'll see what happens.
If I do manage to find a shipping company... Any chance you could put some of the smaller lose parts in a box and put some cardboard& plastic wrap over the dash to keep it protected? I'd hate to see that thing get all banged up considering that a big part of why I want it.

any update?......................

I never received a quote from that company... none of the other quotes I received from 8 or so other companies were feasible price wise... the cheapest one was $2300 shipped to a local facility (meaning I'd still have to transport it from there to my house)...
so unless you know of some place that will ship it for closer to 1/4 of that this isn't going to work out since it would cost me substantially more that just buying an S15 swap, and dash.

tell me who you've gotten quotes from.. and their prices..
twistedsymphony
06-20-2008, 01:40 PM
well I can tell you the ones I have in email. most of them were in calculators on their website and I just left after I saw that the quote was 4 digits long.
Highway Freight: $2200
Yellow Freight: $2600
BAX Global: $3100
UPS LTL: $3600
I don't have the other quotes on hand but they were all above $2500 some even as high as $6K
I'm giving it one more shot...
I found a site called uship.com its kind of like eBay for shipping. you list what you need shipped and companies list quotes. We'll see how it goes.
how flexible are you on your price? if I get a quote close but within my budget would you bill willing to drop the price a little to make it work?
This isn't my first choice swap. I'm actually keeping my eye open for an LS1 but hey, if I can swap an S15 SR for cheaper that's cool I'll probably keep the engine and rear sub frame and part the rest out.

I'm firm on the price.. You're not using shipping brokers.. Brokers are much cheaper, as all they do is fill commercial freighters ..make sure you CALL them.. Also let them know that my storage place has a usable forklift..
try these guys,

you already suggested them and as I said earlier I already called them for a quote, they were supposed to get back to me but never did. :-/
I'm surprised you didn't mention the forklift in the first post... that's useful info right there that can save a couple hundred on the shipping cost.

Those quotes arent right. My buddy just got a Cummins 6bt deisel motor shipped to him via Yellow for $280 from AZ to PA. The 6bt is a 1200lb motor.
Getting it shipped to a business with a loading dock will make a big difference too.
