S13 KA24DE-T

T28

450cc Deathworks injectors (or whatever)

Z32 MAF

Walbro 255 lph fuel pump

Pretty much I'm on my second S13 KA24DE-T tuned ECU from Enthalpy but it came back with the same problem... it won't prime the fuel pump for my new set up. :(

The stock ECU I have will prime the fuel pump, and start the car, but it runs horribly due to different fuel map settings and a MAF that is way bigger than stock KA24DE (S13)

I don't know what to do, enthalpy wants me to put the car back to stock set up (maf, inj, ecu) and get the car running right, but I don't see a point to that being as the stock ecu fires up the car and primes the pump no problem.

Is there anything I can do besides getting a new ECU?

What do you guys think the chances of the daughterboard being fried are?

Scott at Enthalpy seems to believe it's something on my side, even though:

It's a new chassis

and

A different fuel pump than before

I have a certain deadline of the 21st of June, but I don't think I'm gonna make it. :(

if a stock ecu primes the fp then its on his side

hey..

I have seen that before. It's the ECU core..

If I were you, I will just wire in a power relay for your fuel pump from the battery and let the relay switch on when car switch to acc constant power. This acc feed needs to be on constantly after the key is on and during crank cycle...

Anyway, it will fix your problem plus you know you will have good power going to the pump..

Seriously. Takes 20 mins, and you'll be able to use your tuned ECU... troubleshoot the problem with the ECU after you're driving your nice new turbo'd car :)

yep radio shack toggle switched are like 5 bucks....... look at it this way people wont know how to jack ur ride.... because they cant get it started....

wire in a switch from radio shack dude... ive built numerous switch panels from radioshack parts... they got a dope ass solder iron too.... with the flat tip that holds the solder like a pocket.. its like 30 bucks....

Yeah, the stock ECU fires up the car, rough idle and everything...

I will try this if I don't get a positive response from Scott regarding the core exchange (for the 2nd time now :ugh: )

Yeah, but I've lost almost all my motivation to get this stupid project going.

I refuse to put the car back to NA for the second time... even with my upgraded clutch and flywheel.

That would be another positive of the fuel relay bypass... :keke:

I should buy a soldering iron of my own, so I don't have to keep borrowing Mel's (!Zar!)

I double checked the ECU in my friend's DOHC, no start up :(

Bad ECU again... I'm currently looking for another S13 KA24DE ECU I can core...

Anyone help me out?

I believe Jose(ctmmotortrends) still has a DOHC ECU left.

PM him?
