Does anyone know how to get this part off? (where the steering wheel attaches to)

Also, a noob question, Is it possible to put an s14 aftermarket exhaust on an s13 without too much work?

s14 exhaust is different, it wont clear the sway bar/diff, will require cutting and welding, most likely not worth it

Why do you need to take that off??

All the little grooves where the wheel slides onto are crushed, and can't be fixed. I have a parts car, but the rest of it's shaft is pretty rusty, and I'd prefer to keep the shaft that I have. Suggestions? or does the whole shaft need to be replaced?

so are the threads smashed or are the splines smashed? in any case the whole shaft would need to be repaced if you wanted to go that route. just grind the rust off and paint it if you dont want it to be rusty

The entire column has to come out, then if you want to replace just the shaft you need to find someone who has a very tall press, there's a bearing on each end that has to be pressed off so that the shaft can slide out of the jacket tube. It's a shit ton of work, way easier to just swap the whole column.

alright, I might as well swap it all over.
Thanks for the help
