the paper clip type things hold the bulbs in place. the bends that point forward sit in the indentions on the metal plate on the bulb . hope that helps post up if you need pics

I actually just finished replacing mine, there should be a pink wire with a white tip that plugs into the back of the bulb, look around. If you still can't find it , i'll take some pics tomorrow.

Ground plug goes to the bottom of the ring and the Positive plug clips on the bulb connector.

i'll be busy with school and work until about 5pm(EST). So your going to have to wait until then for me to upload the pics, unless someone else is kind hearted enough to do so.

These headlights use standard spade terminals. You can find them at any auto parts store.

The H1 has a single prong. This is for power. The bulb is grounded to the body of housing.

The headlight harness should have one wire plugging into the bulb and another wire which plubs into the metal housing that contacts the bulb's metal base.

If you don't have this harness, you can make one with spade terminals using male and female ends where appropriate.

If yours is a real kouki, where is your headlight harness? It has 2 wires going through a plastic cover that screws over the bulb hole to seal out water.

If the previous owner ghetto rigged an HID kit on, follow the wiring, you might just get lucky and he was dumb enough to leave the stock bulb plug on the harness.

Your socket looks like this:

You should have a Sub-Harness under the headlight:

Negative goes to the Ring. Positive to the bulb terminal:

For ppl going from zenki H4 to Kouki is there a specific set up for rewiring?

Also, the Vertex non projector headlights are H4 correct? this could eliminate the above statement.:)

I just got my friends S14 SE the other day and he did the same thing. He had an HID kit for the low beams but the blaster went out on one side. Now I only have high beams with yellow bulbs and no low beams. I even went out and bought some new H1 bulbs but there's no freakin socket to connect them to. He tried to cut and splice some wire so instead of the high beams and can use the low beams with the H1 bulb but it didn't work. DAMNNNNNN HIMMMMMMM!!!! I need help!! neither one of us know about electrical so he can't figure out why the low beams aren't working. I think I'm gonna need to get the headlight harness so I have the stock sockets to plug the bulb into but I don't have any money. I'm gonna try and be at the Thursday night Super Autobacs 240 meet. My names Chad, you'll know it's me if you hear me asking people if they might know what's wrong and if they can help me fix it haha.
