Okay, here's the deal. I have an SR in my S14. The car would occassionally and very slightly stutter under hard acceleration. But nothing too crazy
Fast forward to last friday. I decided it was time to change out the stock fuel filter so i purchased a 300ZX filter and slapped it on. Aside from a little elbow grease, it's pretty easy.
So I decide to drive the car around the street to see if the ran any better--maybe the bog was gone. Long story short, the piece of shiit won't rev past 5K in any gear, no use trying. At 5K it has the same feel of redline, you know where the fuel cuts off. Other than this oddity the car runs fine.
Since the happened after I put on the new fuel filter I decided to put the old filter back on today. Same deal, the damn thing won't get past 5K. After coming back home, I left the car running and checked for any visual or aural leaks in the system. Nothing, I couldn't see jack.
Any help is appreciated. Here's more info:
It's a 2000 SR
stock everything (airbox, downpipe even exhaust)
I'm running a Blitz DTT Turbo Timer with a line for boost
THanks,
ty
