Transmision for sr20det

Im still looking at the cali sileighty and it has a syncro problem with third girl, my question is does anyone know where to get another S13 tranny or would it just be better to have it rebuilt if i got the car?

Getting another SR tranny is, I believe, not that easy.  Many w/ s15 SRs (even in the states) want that tranny too.  I would guess a rebuilt would be easier.

You may even be able to use parts from a KA trans to rebuild the SR trans. I know that people have swaped the KA gears in to the SR trans. I believe that the KA trans may bolt up to the SR bell housing(rumor I have not confirmed). As opposed to the KA bellhousing that will not bolt up to the SR motor. Either way it would be easier to source parts for a rebuild than to find some one selling the SR trans separate.
