5 lug? brakes? rims? and tires?

hey guys i just got my 91 hatch 240 like 2 weeks ago with new motor that only hav 70k mi. i am planning to convert it to 5 lugs. wat would be the cheapest 5 lug and good brakes(affordable)? im still deciding wat kind of rims i want. ill just prolly throw in some 5 lug rims since i dont got all that money and i can just buy some rims and tires later. any sugestion wat kind of rims and tires? looking for something thats good for drifting.

you want cheap? get some s14 SE wheels and upgraded pads.

or you could consider the phrase, "do it right or do it twice." save your money and get something worthwhile.

Just do Z32 wheels and brakes, cheapest I believe. And since you live in California, its a plus since they don't attract cops and thieves.

Search will be your friend. Here are some topics to look up:

S14 front hub conversion; or hubs from ichiba, ebay, etc. Z32 N/A rear hubs.
Q45 and Z32 brakes. All rear z32 = 5 lug + brake upgrade.
Lots of 5 lug wheels out there, depends on your budget.

Congrats on your purchase. The motor looks clean but you're missing the fan shroud? Don't wreck it just yet, take care of it.. And welcome to the forum.

I would say that, after reading one of your previous threads, you should get your car in good mechanical condition before doing any mods like this. 5-lug will be worthless if your car doesn't run.

In my opinion, you're buying a bunch of shit that you don't even need just yet. With your stock engine, most of the parts that you're thinking of are gonna be overkill. Get some good brake pads, decent tires that aren't too expensive, and use stock wheels. The only problem that I've ever had with stock parts is slight brake fade due to old pads and hard braking.

It would also seem that you're going the cheap route. Keep in mind that cheap prices usually mean cheap quality. This isn't always the case, but it's best not to risk it.
