Refinishing headliner need advice

I picked up a used headliner this weekend its a little dirty and an ugly gray color, I want to refinish it with black headliner fabric. Is it best to peel the old material off first? and what adhesive should I use to attach the fabric to the headliner super 77 or is there something better?

Take the old stuff off. Then go to a quality upholstery shop and have them spray it. Even the best 3M stuff over the counter won't hold up to repeated heat cycles in a car. Trust me. Most places won't charge more than $20 to do it with the headliner already out.

Thats an idea I can bring them the material and headliner and just have them spray it. I'd still like to get some professional adhesive though for a few other things I'm working on, anyone know what they use?
