so i live in hawaii, and we dont have smog out here so you can run 3" str8 pipin all day, my question is how do you register your sr'd 240 in CA? is there a legal way you can get it registerd or do you have to know ppl? also im moving to CA somtime next year, any1 know the rules and regulations there is to shipping your car?

you can't register your SR'ed car in California.
and so for thaht, you have to know people.

unless you know someone in hawaii that'll let you use their address and still be registered in hawaii for time being.

get smog done when u have a KA. do the SR swap right afterwards, and now you have 2 years till you have to smog again. gives you 2 years to meet the right people

WHAT?!?!? people have SRs in America?!?!! aren't they illegal engines or something? i want some miracle dust to make those engines smog legal and stuff. maybe if i pray hard enough, Arnold will make it happen!

Mine was kinda wierd. If all you have to go through is verification and smog test, you should be fine. When my car got totaled I had to re-register my car with a salvage title. Their idea of verification was a VIN check, and they made me pop my hood...but just looked at the stickers on the underside of the hood (Vacuum diagrams and smog stuff).

I don't know if that would apply to what they would do to your car or not. My buddy told me somthing like "Your registering the car, not the engine".

Of course for smog you would have to have a good hookup.
