suggestion: save another s-chassis from rust.... and store the 240, and buy a winter car.... or power wash the shit out of it after driving it everyday

good luck finding a 240sx that isn't already rusted out in elgin county.
best situation:
fly to florida to buy a rust free 240sx, drive it back
use the eg for winter duty and keep the 240 garaged all winter
if you need to drive a 240 during the winter all i can say is get it rust checked, it's a oily film that they spray in the doors, fenders, rocker panels, engine bay, and underbody. it will help prevent rust but it isn't 100% effective, especially if your chassis is already rusting--which canadian 240's are. The oil will also collect dirt and debris and make everything FILTHY.
I felt guilty after bringing my virgin florida 100% rust free 240sx up to ontario for the winter, but driving in the snow with bald summer tires was some of the most fun i've had driving in my s13.

ive never even considered driving in the snow. thats what i have a '99 corolla for. :bigok: i'd prob get fucking stuck alot if i did.
ive taken my car out after a fresh snow fall before they started plowing and salting.with ziexs the car actually didn't do to bad dont try to get up any hills though. also if you have coil overs get some really thick electrical tape and wrap them so they dont rust.

that is a horrible idea, moisture will gather under that tape and sit there and rust away

snow tires and stock suspension made my 240 a great winter car.
though hopefully i'll only have to do it once, and last winter was rainy, not snowy, so there wasn't too much salt.

i drove with bald dry rotted summer tires most of the time with no weight in the trunk
just don't get behind me if im stopped at an incline haha i had a couple of moments
but when the snow really hit the ground i couldn't move 2 inches out of the driveway i could spin the tires all the way to fifth gear

kelly wintermarks + stock suspension= twice as good as my old corolla in the snow. I know how to deal with rust and we don't use salt in my town so I only wash my car if I go somewhere farther away.
