my car has been leaking coolant and thinking its the gasket on the waterpump i resealed it. then, same problem. now its gotta be the water pump. my question is that. could my water pump be shot because of the turbo? does it go bad from excess overheating? i hope its just time for it to replace, not because of the turbo. i dont wanna buy it and have it go bad again being $94. please reply back

I have run my turbo for 8k miles or so, and have no leaks or overheating problems. What is you pump's mileage? Can you hear it making noises during idle, or acceleration? It is probably just time to go.

I dont know what your paying for water pumps but 93 bucks is out there. Ive been told by my mechanic I can get um for 25, try import bin too they get stuff cheap. Also I dont see how a turbo could have fried your water pump. Its a mechanical device that operates off the engine, true but they dont eaxactly break real easy too. Now rusting, thats a different problem... one that I had to face... stupid rust...
