They were supposed to go late into the summer/fall with these seasons (instead of running fall/winter to summer like normal), but they might have just said 'forget about it' and decide to start next fall.

Heroes: I enjoyed it. Hayden looked hot as a future claire with brunette hair. The Maya character looked AWESOMELY FINE. I KNEW she was gonna get hotter haha. Kristen Bell was stunning as usual, I'm glad she didn't get killed off yet.

Enough about the girls haha. I'm glad more heroes are coming up and more villians are emerging (season title, duh). Suresh looks all crazy with his new power. Seems like a spiderman with super strength and a shiny, wet body hahaha. And he got to bone Maya. Jealousssssss!

HAHA, nice disclaimer there. Yeah, I think in the story, the whole butterfly effect is what's fuckin up the future. Since they're coming back to the present day knowing what's gonna happen in the future, they're already holding a grudge for something that hasn't happened yet. While what some may say fate or destiny is what's leading their lives, they want to change it, even if it'll screw things up.

And Peter seems really selfish now. He's starting to not take no for an answer more often. Pretty cool watching his character develop throughout the series. And about Suresh's "side effects", I'd say he's going to be able to morph uncontrollably, like Hulk-status, in the future.

Sylar's actual power is Intuitive Aptitude, the ability to learn how things work. He cuts the top of their skull off in order to see the part of the brain that stores their powers, I think that's the Adrenal gland from what I understand, so there you go.

The reason he didn't kill Claire is because he can't. She's immortal. Sylar said so himself. He also said she has powers beyond her knowledge, so therefore I think they'll introduce something new about her this season...

I'm pretty sure it will. The thing I found odd about that is; Claire obviously knows Peter's powers, so shooting him would be the same as shooting herself, it would have no effect. So why did they make it such a big deal?

I watch the show enough to know that they don't tell you exactly how Sylers powers work. yeah he worked at a clock store so that make sense about him seeing how things work. But how can a guy look at a brain and see how it works?And why did he have to finger Clairs brain to "see" how it works? Couldn't he have just looked? and he always wipes his hands clean after he kills people? why get your hands dirty if he can just "See" how it works and learn it.

In past episodes, they've only shown Sylar cutting their heads open. They've never actually shown his process of acquiring the power. There was a misconception among a bunch of idiots thinking he ate the brains. That's why they had to make it so obvious to people as to how he does it in the season 3 premier. But apparently people still dont get it. The reason he would be fingering Claire's brain would be to move the useless part of the brain aside to be able to see the adrenal gland which stores the power. He doesn't have x-ray vision...yet. And he wipes his hands because he wants to be clean... Yeah, he kills people and touches their insides, but he's not a savage. Lol.

I don't mean to be a dick. I guess the word "Spewing" wasn't so nice. But I don't believe in sugar coating things. I tell it like it is...

I just watched the first 3 or 4 eps from season 1 again. Damn they are still good. There's no sense of wonder or real mystery in season 3. Season 1 really just drew you in, and didn't let you go.

Season 3 seems to be more about "what's the most unexpected thing we can do in this episode?" .

that might only be one aspect of it though. there could be other manifestations to it too.

i think the last few eps have been going pretty well. its's improving. hopefully with a revamp on the writing crew, volume 4 will go much much better.

what i did not like about the episode is how peter "randomly" got a flying power. so does the formula restore lost powers and gives normal people random powers? wtf? if a hero lost his/her powers then they become normal. that means the powers they get from the formula should be random. logical right?

I always thought of it as more of a genetic mutation per se. Otherwise as you were saying nobody would get "random" powers it would all be predetermined (ie just locked/hidden away).

I love your theory about the powers being passed down as a trait, but that kinda plays into the genetic mutation. How would you know what powers a child would have if the parents had different abilities such as one with flight and one with telekenesis? Maybe if its simply a gene that requires both parents to have it and then pass it on, at which point the persons predetermined ability would be unlocked. Thats just the way I look at it, I love all the possibilities and can't wait for part 2 of the season :whip:

That's what I loved about the first season. It's that sense of discovery, of wonderment. The idea that anything could happen, and there were so many unexplained aspects of the abilities everyone has.

The show has turned into a killing fest. Stupid characters dying needlessly every episode. It's like guess who's gonna die today? Lets choose names out of a hat!

They need to bring a cohesion to show that they lost at the end of season 1. They need one antagonist, and direction, a goal for all the heroes to unite against. It looks like they might actually get it in the form of Nathan. He could be like the Lex Luthor of the Heroes Universe.

I really like the idea of Nathan and Peter being at odds with eachother. They both want to save the world, but they disagree on how it should be done.

This seems to be the main focus of Volume 4:Fugitives so im really excited because they have so much potential to turn this sinking ship around.

EDIT:
My favorite scene this season has to be the one where Hiro meets his mother as an adult. It gave some great character insight, and really allowed us viewers to empathize and relate to Hiro. This is really what the show is lacking right now. Character empathy. If we can't relate to the characters, we won't be cheering for them. The original appeal of the show was that these were just normal people, like you and I, they just happened to be gifted with amazing abilities.

i think its great that they were trying to show how even heroes, can be viewed as villains, and how the lines can be blurred. but did they really need to do that with EVERY single character?

we still need to have a clear cut idea of right and wrong. like one intensely evil sadistic character, and one innately good character. Peter and Sylar allllllmmooost fit those archetypes. They fucked up when they made Sylar good for a few eps....

Exactly there needs to be those characters that are CLEARLY "good" and CLEARLY "evil" otherwise IMO its kinda boring. Its everybody against everybody instead of good against evil, heroes against villians.

i think its pretty well balanced. but generally :Parkman is a good guy. Clair is a good guy. Hiro is a good guy. Sylar is a bad guy. peters dad is a bad guy.

but its really blurred because most of the characters have their own goals. like noah just wants to protect clair/stop sylar, so whatever side thats on is where he is. and shuresh just wants to get fixed so who ever makes him/backs him up is what side hes going to be on.

I mean not to be nit picking but what makes Clair/Hiro/Parkman a good guy, or Sylar etc a bad guy for that matter when there is no universally good or bad cause

I think Sylar might really be gone for good. He is knocked out during the Primatech explosion. He is a good character in that he is entertaining to watch.

I was bummed when they killed off Kristen Bell from the show.

"save the world" is starting to sound like "world peace" at a beauty pageant.. everyone wants it but no one has any real plan that exists for more than 10 minutes... viewers who would be interested in this show see the "round up all the mutants" story line as ripping xmen.. while heroes was original, if they follow that xmen story line then it's just gonna tank.. I already feel like the patrelli parents are starting out like a magneto xavier thing... they each have their own organization.. their favorite (heroes) mutants.. both were striking at each other until someone declares all mutants are bad and then *gasp* they'll team up to fight the gov't.. pretty soon we'll have a guy whos ability is to grow blades out of him and another who can throw explosive playing cards... and how hasn't the hatian died yet? he's dangerous to both sides and has no offensive or defensive powers.. that man is a moving death warrant from 100 yards and a hunting rifle. And why is Noah the only human (non hero) company man. Everyone else seems to have abilities. That would be crazy if he got a hold of some of the formula and got abilities.

I guess they don't think that the Haitian's powers are strong enough to kill him, and the teams aren't official yet. We have the general idea of who the teams are going to be, but everyone keeps flip flopping, ie. Sylar, Nathan, Elle, etc.

Yeah, there should be more Company Men. There was another Company man, but Noah killed him at the end of the first season. The white haired dude. And that's what makes Noah so cool, is that the heroes are actually scared of him, even though he doesn't have powers. He's smart and uses other tactics to get what he wants of the other heroes.

I'm excited, and not too excited at the same time about the next volume. I really hope it doesn't turn out like X-men.

his father stripped him of all his powers even his original one, he just regained "some" power during last episode, so we are guessing if he got his original power back and absorbed nathan's or if he just got a flying ability.

I think it has more to do with the fact that power is kind of ridiculous... Invisibility does absolutely nothing for adding excitement to the show. For instance... would you rather see somebody fly off or stare at a blank screen?

Well...Sylar did use his super hearing powers a few episodes ago. Remember when Noah caught that black dude that makes vortexes out of no where? He told the vortex guy to kill Sylar and he would let him go. But then the vortex dude killed himself. Sylar heard the whole conversation from like 100 yards away. lol. Damn, I'm a nerd.

The show was pretty good, but it seems like Peter can only absorb one power at a time or doesn't know how to control his powers. The best part was when sylar was owning those special agents. Hope this season is better, it already looks like it could be getting there.

I'm pretty sure they were all too "weak" from whatever drugs/medication they were being given. Hence why he had to reconnect with Mohinder just to have enough strength to break the shackles.
