Just tried on a new origin stylish body kit. fit is ok i guess, better than knock off crap thats for sure. :aw:
my question is, how in the hell did you guys get your front bumpers to fit with the crash guard???
i have a pignose front and using the crash guard is getting in the way. its the air ducts at the bottom that are touching the guard and isnt letting the bumper fall into place.:mrmeph: its very close, but the bumper to hood gap is about an inch near the hood latch.
i dont want to take off the guard completely for safety reasons. but what should i do? cut about a 1/4 off of the guard to get it out of the way and run it like that? i was thinking off doing that then welding in a piece to strengthen it back up.:hsdance: or just say screw it and take it to a shop and spend all my money? haha

Please take it to a body shop... nothing worse than unpainted aero that isn't fitted properly if you don't know what your doing. Aero kits are supposed to be fitted correctly and painted.

trim the kit at teh air ducts, and also cut the pinch welds around the perimeter of the "crash guard"(also called the bumper support).
make it fit.
I honestly dont mean to sound harsh, but if you cant figure out how to make it fit and have to ask, i would get it fitted at a shop.
good luck.

Or you can just take the bumper support out. If you plan on running a front mount you will probably have to take it off anyways. I think that most people here that have bodykits do not have the bumper support.

and a lot of the kits i see on here, sag because they dont have the support. you can still have a fmic, and the support... it just takes some time trimming it up. Granted it wont have any structural reasoning after trimming, besides helping the bumper look a little better.

yeah i dont want this to be some hack job. actually spend some time lining up. i do have a front mount already and have trimmed the crash guard to fit around that. i dont want to remove it completely because i know the kit will sag, its pretty flexible. ill just have to play with it some more today.

my front bumper is an ings+1 and it doesnt fit on stock bumper support either. plus my greddy front mount. so my bumper support was removed and made a new one with angle iron and some inch 1/2 pipe works amazing and makes bumper fit perfect, looks like a battering ram :) dont mind the crooked front mount, thats just cuz its not all the way hooked up, and lower brackets arnt attached

Most kits require removal or at least trimming of the bumper support since they're either made in Japan or copied off Japan made parts, and the supports overseas are nothing like ours.
Sad thing is we all know this yet someone has to create a new thread about it weekly.
