looking into getting something with a hex socket so it'll be easier to remove.
anyone know? it looks like a pipe plug, since it appears to seat on the threads.

no one? someone suggested teflon tape or pipe dope to make it easier to get out next time.
Buy the magnetic one, theres a bunch of vendors that have it online...don't think its hex though...

i tried to do some searching and i couldn't find anything on the thread or pitch, so taking to a hardware store might be the best bet however it might be too big to be something thats conventional so you may need to go somewhere that makes hardware exclusively
i would just get a new one and use teflon tape or maybe anti seize

mcfadden-dale in santa ana (edinger/richey) has a warehouse full of bolts and nuts, but not much of a selection for pipe. hope i find something there.

Well from all your posts you could have spent less time by taking a thread pitch gauge out there and seeing what the threads were and a mic to see the size!! Its not hard. I personally don't know the answer off the top of my head. But it would not take you 5 mins to findout yourself.
