Ok, im an avg. nissan guy looking for cool stuff to do to my car. Now I tried looking online and I didnt find the answer I was looking for.
My question is: do sti brake pads fit in evo calipers ? The reason im asking is because I bought a set of project mu "ns" pads front and rear for my sti when I had it. Now since subaru has a fu**ed up bolt paterns and do not match up with nissan 5 lugs, I know I cant use the sti rotors. Ok, problem I got it. Now the makers of the evo were nice enough to use a common bolt patern. So if my sti pads I already have fit in an evo caliper I can just buy evo brakes and go about my day. Im aware that people have used evo rotors with sti calipers. Im not a fan of that. I think that using the designed rotor and caliper combo is best suited.
Also, for the people that have done the evo upgrade to their cars, what do you use for an e-brake ? Ive seen someone with the idea of using a wilwood caliper(2 calipers on the rear) but that seems a bit expensive. Are there alternatives ? I am planning on buying the k-sport hydro. e-brake. Can that be hooked up to an evo setup ?
Any input would be great, thank you.
Also no flaming, this is a legit question. I researched and did not find out what I wanted to know.

There is an entire thread with all the information you need to know called something like.
Check out my new big brakes. Anyone else do this yet? Or something like that. Look into it.

the only models of subaru that wouldn't match nissans bolt pattern
is the wrx and 04 STI which are all 5x100
05-08 STI are 5x114.3

I know, that is one of the threads I read. It did not say if sti pads fit evo calipers.
And for the 5x100 bolt patern I thought it was 04-05. Thank you for the clarification on that.
And my pads were for my 04 sti I had.

well they are very close but there are slight differences,
EVO rotors
Front = 320mm
Rear = 300mm
STI
Front = 326mm
Rear = 316mm
another interesting note is that the EVO front rotors are 32mm wide whereas the STI fronts are 30mm wide. They use the same Brembo caliper but the EVO actually uses 1mm skinnier brake pads! so you can use EVO pads on STI and just be short a bit of pad life(Ive dont this on my STI) but you cant use STI pads on an EVO unless you turn the rotors down 2mm. Some companies, Like EBC, only make one part number for EVO and STI pads and just cheat STI guys out of 1mm on each pad, lol.
One other difference in the fronts, besides the diameter, is the hat height(offset) the STI(53mm) is almost identical to the 300ZX(54mm) whereas the EVO is 43.5mm. Since Im designing custom brackets anyways, I can make them to whatever offseet they need to be to fit, though all things being equal, the EVO rotors will move the Brembo caliper about 10mm closer to the wheel than the STI or Z32 rotors, so that could be a clearance problem depending on what wheel your running, the best combo might be EVO rear rotors and 05+ STI(%X114) front calipers to keep the offset as close to stock as possible, and they're 6mm bigger to boot!
This says there are slight differences between the pads, and rotors. It does not say if the calipers are the exact same.

The pads will fit. There is a few mm difference in thickness. I forget which ones are thicker.

The calipers are exactly the same. The F50 brembo caliper iirc while the 350Z and G35 use the F40.

I just got done reading a page or two that I did not see the first time I read it. Im considering a few alternatives. Its just I dont want to loose money on selling my pads if I could just use them on my nissan.
I have z32 calipers front and rear(not installed yet) Im planning on using the z32 drum brake for now(til I get the hydro from ksport) and the z32 master cylinder. That will be my temp. setup til I go 5lug. Once I go 5lug I want to go a lil bigger and better.
By the way my car is an s13 coupe.

They should fit.
They both have the same Brembo calipers as Z33,
SE-Rs, and G35s.
I have some endless pads for front and rear,
if anybody's interested.

everything are the same but there are few things different between the 2. first the evo are few more cm longer when it comes to the ear mounting holes, ribs on the back of the calipers does have clearance problem and can be solved by adjusting height position of the caliper. my evo brackets are actually available within a week or so. yeah the sti are common and expensive, if your using f/r sti calipers everything bolts fine with the addition of my front sti brackets.
