i know the s13 ka24de emissions and some other stuff is different like the exhaust manifold flange is different from the one to s14. i was just courious if i drop it into a s14 what do i need to do. im going to prob put a 4-2-1 header on it so i dont have to worry about that. also do i use a s13 ecu/harness or a s14 ecu/harness.

is it a kouki or zenki?
How do you plan on smogging it due to the California law about the engine must be the same year or newer? Or are you not worried about that?

Use S14 intake manifold, ecu, and harness. You might also need the S14 water outlet. It's the 90 degree outlet by the front side of the intake manifold. When I did this I found the water outlet stuck out too far.
IIRC you'll need the S14 engine mount brackets as well.
SMOG check in Cali doesn't check the engine serials or anything...as long as the proper controls are in place and the ECU says everything's fine you'll pass no problem.
I have passed Cali SMOG with an S13 engine in my S14.

I would think that it has to work since i have an s14 ka in my 92. It's only the long block now that I think of it.
