an exhaust that is said to be for a dohc would it work on a single? yes, its made for my year car.

and if i got headers that come to a 2" and the exhaust im looking at is a 3" would it match up and work?

Hahaha, I'm just giving you a hard time.

Inline engines typically only have 1 header.

Now as far as a 2" collector working for a 3" exhaust, that should be fine.
However I'm not certain about the SOHC header working on the DOHC engine.
I don't believe it will work. I can't be certain since I haven't worked on a SOHC.

I'm sure someone else will chime in with more information for you.

no different flange design. Thats really all there is to it

if your referring to the flange at the end on the pipe, there the same. or show that way, but you know how its not the exact on in the pic online. but im not so sure about the exhaust being an inch bigger

header from dohc will not work on sohc
the catbak will, i got 2"header on my sohc with 3"testpipe
and 3" catbak it will work

the header and test pipe are for sohc, the catback exhaust is for dohc

yea it will fit
dohc,sohc,coupe,fastback,sr all the same catback
as long as its not a turboback ur ok

ok, well someone also told me this earlier

But I don't understand what everyone is saying about it bolting up. My test pipe is 3" but my header is 2-2.5 and it does NOT bolt up. I mean it bolts on, but the bolts are crooked and I have an exhaust leak. I would say get someone to weld on a new flange on the test pipe so it will bolt straight up.
