ok, so i want to switch the ignition cilinder on my steering wheel with the one that matches my doors and trunk.

but i dont know how to remove just the cylinder.

theres like two small pins on the sides, i tried hitting them to take them out, but no luck.

i want to leave the ignition "base" there, just switch the inner cylinder.

ill post pics later tonight to explain myself.

can anyone shine some light on it?

in case youre wondering...im installing a new steering rack (rhd) and its a diff angle than the (lhd)...so yeah...:rawk:

comments to yourself...just help.

if i remember correctly those pins are threaded in there, take a dremmel slot the head and un-screw them with a flathead.....

for some reason this comes to mind, its been years since i messed with an igintion cylinder..... if i'm wrong, then sorry... have you searched?!

yea i searched, but its all on "my steering wheel is locked", "doors wont open", etc etc

oh, and im not talking removing the actual ignition cylinder from the steering rack...

its more in the lines of removing the inner cylinder, thats in the base, which the base is attached to the steering rack...

pics later tonight to explain lol

No one knows what you're talking about at this point. You're trying to rekey the ignition switch?

What does the rack have to do with it?
