Greddy Profec B Spec II Question...

Quick one... the Profec B Spec II has a built in boost pressure dispaly. My question is how accurate is this pressure reading to actual pressure being fed in to the engine? I was thinking of mounting it on the steering column or center console and using it as an alternate means to display boost pressure. Or would i be better off installing a boost gauge? Thoughts? Thank you.

I had mine mounted on my steering column with double sided 3m tape. I used it as my boost gauge and it always seemed accurate. I'm sure others have had different experiences. Try it for a while and see if it works for you.

i did the same, seems more accurate to me but im not sure, idk about you but with my regular boost gauge i cant tell if im 5.3 lbs but i can with the profec

its actually more accurate. i did the same. it can give you finer measurements. and it has a warning function as well. it lights up red if your over boosting.

That was my thinking too... I mean, it's usually ideal to run your boost gauge off the vac line off the TB. But I was thining this would be essentially the same thing, except off the line to the wastegate. If i hooked up a boost gauge off that line, and one of the TB, it should read the same correct?

its way easier to tune it with a separate boost gauge though. trying to do it with the unit is a headache.

It is accurate for what it is.... I would recommend a dedicated gauge though.

How do you like the profec II? I used mine for a bit, then sold it to Dan " Mydogsdrift" from az240.... I could care less for that controller. Thought it was junk, it worked ok to say the lease, just not my preference.
