Hi fellow members, I have recently lowered my s14 with Stance GR+ Pro, however, after one week of test drives, there is one rod (traction rod?) scraping the bottom of the struct body.

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m148/Dongoesby/new%20coilover%20stance/subframe2.jpg

What makes the scraping is actually the bolt connecting the rods as shown in red square. When I was installing the coilover myself, I have already notice this clearance tissue. There is basically less than half of an inch space between the bottom of the coilover and the bolt. I wonder an aftermarket rod would solve this tissue?

PS: I have done some intense research. I'm looking to change the front Tie Rods with SPL outter ends and Z33 inners. I'm on a budget, so beside the front tie rods and the rear scraping rod tissue, what other suspension parts I should upgrade before I go and have an alignment?

Thanks! Hope to get some advice soon!

the bolt probably rubs.

flip the bolt around.

You have to take the coilover off to flip the bolt around.

You can cut the extra off the bolt as well and leave it as is.

The rod in the square is actually Toe rod.
turning it around could help with clearance.

As far as drop goes - get RUCAs.

Thee rod in which you speak of is called a toe rod, Not traction, the traction rod Is that WEEE little unit at the north point of the system, afront the control arm, the chrome joints.

An aftermarket (adjustable) unit should allow you to ease off of misalignment with your super low stance.

I don't think that is his subframe.

And flipping the bolt around should fix your problem.

Is this toe rod clearance issue happening to other S14s too, or just few of us?

Is it the traction rod you talking about located toward the front of the car? Howcome the toe rod appears to be two rods, which one is it? the chrome one in the right of the red box or the black one in the left?

the picture is taken from another zilvia memeber during my research for easier reference. My setup now is stock except the coilover.

the toe rod clearance issue as you so call it happens to people that didn't flip the bolt

as far as the traction rod it is the one that is in front of the RUCA

as for the toe rod being two rods, I think you are confusing the arm on the spindle as a separate rod.........the toe rod is the long ass chrome rod
