Intake Air Temp Sensor for Power FC

Does anyone tried or know how to install air temp sensor for L Jetro Power FC?
It seems that if you look at the menus and sensor data the air temp input is available although not connected since the stock SR does not use air temp sensor. I know that on RB26 they have one and supported by the PFC too.
The reason I want this is if the functionality is available then air temp is good thing to log (for example to measure intercooler efficiency etc) and perhaps opens up for spark correction due to air temp.

if its anything like the ka24e intake temp sensor, you just need to get creative...
drill a hole in your hotpipe, mount it with a good amount of jb weld (or somethng similar) to keep it air tight...

Seems like the function is universally included in all Power FC's, but that doesn't mean you can utilize it with the L-Jetro.

I saw that too, I dont think thats definitely answers the question though. From monitoring the would be IAT sensor input it seems to be just returning floating or not connected voltage. That led be to believe even if there is no pin on the ECU to the harness there maybe a pin inside on the microprocessor I/O.
I am pretty sure the IAT dependant functions itself works though, since if you enter the AFR corrections for IAT the car does runs richer/leaner.

L JEtro does not use an AIT sensor.


The input in the sensor check section is there for Djetro versions.


you dont need it as it reads through the MAF on your L JEtro model.

Unless you actually read the thread or saw the setup, I don't think it's true.


Your best bet is probably just to install a standalone AIT sensor and gauge, separate from the PFC.

If comparitive testing (as opposed to constant monitering) i prefer my multi-meter. Any meter that excepts a thermocouple will usually also record max. min. and avg. values. If quick hook up is an issue simply leave a thermocouple wedged in the inlet side pipe couplers and one on the outlet. you could extend the wires into the cabin and run them off of a toggle switch or record with two meters.

why would you want to connect something completely unneccessary? you dont need an IAT sensor, plain and simple. only MAP ecu's use iat in conjunction with map sensor

I know that you dont need IAT to run L Jetro but I have couple reasons
- Power FC has functionality for spark correction based on IAT. As you know the tendency to knock is increased with higher IAT. For example on RB26 stock map, at IAT 60 degrees you start to pull 3 degrees and up to 5 degrees for higher temp.
- I use FC Datalogit that has good logging capability. It would be interesting to log IAT for example for measuring IC effectiveness etc. Sure I could use extra TCs to the analog input but its worth trying anyway.
