Hey guys, I'm gettin a 240SX next summer.  I'm in college so you know..don't have enough money to spend on a turbo setup right now.  What I want to know is-How much HP/Torque can I get out of the 240 from doing basic mods like I/H/E and pulleys?  I saw some kids site that had those plus the Jim Wolf ECU and he had his 89 240 up to 169 RWHP with 170 lbs or torque, running 14.9s in the 1/4.  Is this what I can expect? I hear a lot about the Jim Wolf ECU.  Would you guys recommend this on a basic KA 240?  Thanks, hope you guys can help me out.

Doesn't seem out of line for those mods and a JWT ECU, but keep in mind that isn't exactly a cheap setup. That ECU alone runs $600-$700, add to that the supporting modifications. . . .

I'm about to turbo my car for less than what i/h/e + jwt ecu is gonna cost....

How do you plan to do that? What parts are you goin to use? Also, are you tearing the engine apart to replace the internals or just putting a little 3-5 PSI setup on there?

4 psi, no i/c, t3 turbo, a bunch of used stuff and a decent amount of custom work. If i luck out it'll be less than $1500 and about 220hp. The problem with the psi is, that to go higher, the cheapest setup will run me about $600 more... cant afford <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
Dont quote me on this though just yet. I'll be finished by hte end of january hopefully.
