Ok zilvia please help me i need my car running so i can go to work/school. im going to make this short i hope:hs:. well i blew my turbo( t25 ) i dont know how cause i dont race, drift, just drive to work and school. Just got done putting in my new turbo ( got it from my friend ), but my car is running really weird. 1. My car keep bogging and wanting to shut off. i clean my MAF, but no luck. 2. I cant boost. 3. Running really really rich. 4. when i shut my car off i hear somekind of weird sound coming from my injecters. One more thing my radiator is new ( koyo copper ) when i took my car for test run( right after putting in my turbo )the radiator cap popped off. Im going to post pics and video later. Please help me out cause like i said i need my car running so i can go to school/ work thnaks.

u might want to do a quick compression test while you're putting some new plugs in just to aleviate the possibility of a blown headgasket. i'm assuming you thought your turbo was blown because of smoke, saying that and the excess coolant pressure blowing off your radiator cap...u might wanna just get the compression test out of the way before you waste any more time/spend any more money on this thing. gl man

Radiator cap poppin off + running badly = blown HG or bad rings.

ok i worked on my car and here we go:) DId compression test came out ok. changed plugs, vac lines, wastegate( cause i couldnt boost thought it may help ), checked injecters (works fine), checked ecu code and got 55. Im still having the same problems. Cant boost, keep wanting shut off when the car is on. i cant even drive my car cause when i let go of the gas, shuts off. my alternator is bad, can that affect my idle problem/shutting off? MAn my car is killing me!!!!!:(

well whenever you're having drivability issues you always want to fix what you know is wrong. having a bad alternator can definately cause the car to wig out. check all your intercooler couplers/clamps, and try starting your car with the maf unplugged. if it idles fine without the maf plugged in then either you have a vacuum/boost/coupler/clamp leak or your maf is just bad. gl brotha
glad the compression was good =]

I am curious about blowing the rad. cap. Hopefully that was just user error, not fastening it or something. What boost you setting at, what is it on, how you tuning, etc?
Blowing your turbo can mean a lot of things, they do just wear out even if babied their entire lives (at the same time why would anyone do this)....what happened really?

Help me please peepo. i did every thing i can and i searched. im not getting anywhere. changed injector o rings, maf, got good connetion on f3 power plug, no vac leak cause i just got my new cold side intercooler pipe. ( had bov on cold side and it was leaking ). still running rich/bogging like no other and coming off the throttle car would super back fire and stall. Please help me i dont know what to do anymore. One thing i didnt try is blow through maf. would that help with bogging? how about running super crazy rich. one last question i changed my orings and my injectors dont leak(i checked 3 times), but can it be possible that my injectors are leaking when the car is on causing it to run super rich and even stall when driving? oh i forgot my injectors are fine. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

a vacuum leak doesn't have to only be in your turbo/intercooler piping.

If you don't race or drift just go back to stock KA, you'll be happy with a reliable car and better gas mileage.

make sure your ECU is tightly plugged in. one time i had a loose screw in there and it screwed everythign up, shit was goin crazy.
have you checked your fuel pump? fuel pump wiring?
was the fuel pump ever upgraded, or are you still using the crusty old stock ka fuel pump?

cam angle sensor may be bad also. my buddies ran great and then all of a sudden it was running way advanced and we found it to be the that the distributor cap was loose and that his alternator was bad. i know its not relevant to what i just recommended but it could be a possible cause
