Hey whats going on guys. Heres the new brace. Made with 1 1/4" tubing and solid mounted to the strut towers. I MIG weld these braces to keep production up and prices down (TIG welded brace is available at higher price). The brace also has a floor bar which really stiffens the brace. Besides that it looks awesome! Looks almost like a roll cage when you pop your trunk. It takes up the spear tire space but you can still fit a tire in the trunk. Its a great brace for the race application.

Brace is just sitting on the studs, fits on tower flush!

What in all hell is a spear tire?

um, couple questions.
why? nothing back there does anything except give you a place to put your golf bags.
if you decide it's really necessary, how about a cross bar so it's actually stiff?
are you a forum sponsor? this looks an awful lot like a for sale thread despite the fact that it's in the tech forum.

Welds need to be more complete and they need to be hotter.
Some of those welds too cold. Which may lead to cracking.
Refering to second picture from the bottom.
The welds on the mounting portion look to cold and not enough penetration.
Not trying to shit on you but but you should make sure the welds are done properly.

believe me the welds are plenty hot and have a ton of penetration, have you ever welded tubing before?

Thanks for all the comments on the product. I love the brace myself really makes a ton of difference.
Yea the back mounting points are there if you have an S13, just covered by a rubber plug.

foreals COME DOWN & DO it TO MINE!!!
Welds look good to me. HAZ is uniform and at least as big as you'd expect given the thickness of the tubing he's likely using.
