whats up everyone,
i wanted to see if some one could help me out and answer a few questions. i am looking to get a set of recaro seats for my 240. the ones out of an evo 8 or something. for starters has anyone installed them? also i want to get a 4 point harness but i have been reading that i cant bolt it directly to the floor and needs to run threw a harness bar, is this correct? if so wouldn't this cause me to lose my back seat?
-thanks

yes
to do it proper imo you lose the back seat
u dont need a harness unless your racing at the track
otherwise your a damn poser.
because harnesses are designed for a car w/ a full roll cage.
if u are taking seat out of another car
THEY WONT FIT
so make them fit
you need to fab up rails and or brackets

full harness with a 5th point gives you an excuse to help the lady fastening herself into position in that special area tho ;)

Darwin does. Some people...
Basically, listen to Dousan. Don't run a harness without a cage or at least a 4-pt. bar.
Also, if you're going to run a 5-pt., how the heck are you going to run it through an Evo Recaro? And don't say, "I'm going to cut the seat."

I installed Evo8 seats into an S14 before. All I did was measure the seat brackets on the Evo8 seats and sent the measurements to wedge engineering. They were able to make me a bracket to mount the seats into the s14. I think they charged $100 per bracket.

harnesses do more than just hold you tight on the street, theyre a pain in the ass for sure, cant reach controls, hard to look behind you for reverse, etc.
spend money on a really nice set of seats, enjoy how well held in you are by the seat side bolstering and use the stock 3pt seatbelts.
