View Full Version : Skyline R33 GT-ST for sale in Socal
I am selling a R33 Skyline GT-ST. I put the car together, (along with 3 other cars) to be used for the new Fast & Furious 4 movie and the car is done filming now, so it's time to sell. The car was assembled as a kit with the body being purchased from Kaizo Industries, and then the motor and Trans purchased and installed here in Southern California at a shop in Anaheim. The car has a legitimate Florida title and Registration and comes with all applicable documentation including receipts for the drivetrain and install. This car is also eligible for one of the California state issued Kit Car exemptions, so it can be registered here in California legally (the same process a Noble uses).
The car has a Nissan RB25DET motor and 5-speed Manual Trans installed with approximately 50-60K miles on them. The entire car is completely stock with no modifications. It is extremely clean and really fun to drive.
The price is $22,500
This is for a street legal Skyline. I'm happy to answer any questions about it's legitimacy but just try to keep them constructive. All too many people get so negative and closed-minded when it comes to this.
I am located in Orange County California and you can contact me at

Thanks,
Casey

I would give him $40 for one of those, considering the price for one in Canada is around $85k.

Actually both 35's have already been sold. Are you on the list for the US cars, because the first delivery is early July, just another 5 weeks?
Thanks for the positive comments, the car is super clean and really fun to drive.

It's actually kind of funny, they are using our Bayside Blue GT-R34 for Paul Walker's Hero car in the movie and when we showed up to the set in the R35, the director wanted to use that instead of the 34. They couldn't do it though, because it would have cost them too much money to get rid of all the GT-R's and GT-T's they had. They were, however, able to get their hands on the Mine's 35 test car which should have a small part / cameo in the movie.

Actually, I believe Kaizo offers left hand drive versions of some of the cars. You might want to look into it. Also, every kit car in California is eligible for one of the yearly 500 smog exemptions so it would be California legal if you get one of those.

I'm not exactly sure for Colorado. I would just suggest checking with your local DMV about the title and registration process for Kit Cars. It should be pretty straight forward.

what year is the engine and body considered (according to paperwork?)
CA will only allow SB100 smog exempt status based upon the year of the vehicle or the engine year.
you can pick whichever at BAR, but your engine or body must be compliant to that particular years' smog requirements.
e.g. you have a 1996 body, there must be smog items relevant to 1996 OBD2 etc. or to the body 1995 body compliant to OBD1 EGR can, PCV etc. etc.

I grabbed this excerpt from the CA DMV website.
Per California Vehicle Code ยง4750.1, the first 500 program applicants in each calendar year may choose whether the inspection is based on the model-year of the engine used in the vehicle or the vehicle model-year. If the engine or the vehicle does not sufficiently resemble one previously manufactured, the referee will assign 1960 as the model-year.
Because the GTS-T or the RB25DET were never offered here in the United States, it falls under the category of "not sufficiently resembled" and therefore will receive a exemption certificate with the model year 1960.
