Howdy,

I just had a question and was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

I just finished replacing my S13 4 lug using Ichiba 5 lug. I purchased Brembo blanks instead of doing a re-drill on my old rotors.

I have factory calipers, SS lines and purchased new brake pads, so the new rotors should have just slid on.

BUT..... It seems that the studs will go on individually, but when I line up the rotor to go on the studs. the brake is a just barely off from sliding on. The hub bore is the same as factory.

MY QUESTION IS: if i bore out the rotor slightly, will this be dangerous?

Thanks for the help.

Jonny

if you mean the all the studs dont line up with the holes in the rotor, try hamering the studs LIGHTLY into place so they line up and the rotor will slide in, i had the same problem when i bought new front hubs for my s14

edit: this is only if they are off slightly, if they are off by a lot then maybe the rotor has the wrong pattern

Sounds like the wrong bolt pattern on the rotors.

I'm of the opinion if they are (a little off) line them all up and use a little hammer persuasion to get it lined up. If its way off, they must have the wrong pattern or were made wrong.

If we are talking millimeters that it is off then you can give it some persuation through a drill bit but you must be careful. You might just have a bad batch or poor quality knock-off rotor.

Post pics of the problem because I dont quite undersatnd what you're trying to say. whats wrong exactly? the holes for the studs or the bore is wrong?

The actuall stud may not be in all the way. So it is crooked. Check the back of the new hubs and make sure all the studs are seated properly. If they are not you can either hammer the little bit it should be to be fully on, or get an impact gun.

Hope it helps

Your explanation is confusing, but this may help: You can drill the holes out for the studs to 14mm if there's not enough clearance. The rotor is hubcentric so drilling them won't hurt a thing.

So camera ran out of batteries and I left my damn charger in Arizona :(

Anyways. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. I LOVE ZILVIA help! I have used that search button a million times and was hoping I wouldn't get the "USE THE HELP BUTTON n00b!"

I just put it on the studs and took a rubber mallet to the rotor. Fit like a glove with some love taps.

Can't wait to get some pics of the new turbo and kicks on!

THanks again everyone
