View Full Version : safety lug nuts
I'm looking specifically for a set of 'safety' or 'anti-theft' lug nuts for use with my stock studs (and eventually, dousan's extended studs).
I'd love to pick up some kyokugens if anyone has some, if not, some gorilla nuts (errr) or other 'safety' lug nuts will be fine.

jspec had some nuts..i was going to get some from them...next week when i get paid. i hate my crap front ones..heh...
go to your local "tuner" (aka RICE) shop too haha..
Hey dousan, if you still have those spacers and studs, I'll probably take them off your hands when I get my tires (so I can put them on with my rims). I will stop by a rice shop to see what they have.
And yes, danny, I'm getting these so you can't jack my rims!! hah! hey next time you're out at your pile of S13 shame, try to pry the rear view mirror out for me. =) I'd appreciate that! Thanks man.
I think what I'll end up doing is just getting 3 differerent types of safety lugs, and mixing and matching so the thief (whoever it may be) needs all 3 different tools to take 'em off!

your nucking futs!!!
yeah sure let me know when you want them. put it on a payment plan or something hahaha...i have no need for them really, and people are too cheap to spend the money. i give you good deal. me hook u up bro!
hey, will your 50mm studs work withOUT spacers? i.e. does the thread go down far enough so that I can still bolt a wheel on w/out running out of thread?
I'm not as cheap as others out there, I just don't have cash at the moment. I won't take 'em off your hands unless I have cash! (which I'm going to try to squeeze from the parents when they're here over thksgiving...)

i dont know...hm
should work, just as long as your lug nut is long/big enough to go down and torqueproperly. should be ok, depends on the nuts design i guess. close ended probably wouldnt be ok though. gotta have open-ended i bet.
you can take them an pay me back later, its cool. like i said you can do like monthly payments or somethng haha..i dont know! its not a big concern. they've been in my car over 5 months doing nothing but rattling around

ahhhh, I see. very nice site, and you guys seem to have a lot of nice stuff. My one complaint would be that you only have honda products form many of your sources. You have some great, big, hard-to-find-in-US brands, but you need to get more 240 stuff from them. What a waste to only have ARC products for hondas!
I don't have the kind of cash you guys are asking for the Volk lug nuts at the time, but maybe when I do, I'll get around to ordering from you. Shipping's going to hurt, too.
BTW you wouldn't happen to have a volk safety socket for sale, would you? I bought a pair of volk rims, and they came with spacers and their lug nuts, but NO SPECIAL SOCKET to tighten the lug nuts with!

I got some thin section one's from summit for like $30 (gorilla I think). I needed a slim deign to clear my wheels. They came with a socket adapter so provided the guy stealing your wheels doesn't have one, you're safe. If you're concerned with dinging your wheels, go to griot's garage, they have rubberized impact sockets to avoid scarring your $$$$ wheels.
