seat belt conversion question

I removed my auto seat belts and tried to bolt on some S15 ones. the bolts for the main unit itself dont line up and the top hook part isnt long enough to reach the hole. so my question is, does anyone know if the s14 seat belts are the same as s15's? and is there ANY modification to install s14 seat belts into a s13?

i think that the s15 seat belts are shorter than the s14 ones. im not positive but i had 2 sitting next to each other and the bolting spot on a s15 is a lot higher up on the car.

IDK about the s15 belts. But s14 belts basically drop right in, I can't remember anything special I had to do to get them into my 92 fastback with auto belts. In fact there are some nice write ups out there with pictures if you do a quick search.. BTW I have no interior in my car, I think if you keep the plastic B pillar panels that you may need to modify them a little for the s14 belts..

ya, the s15's ARE shorter! just to let you guys know to avoid future headaches. so I hooked up the s14 belts and the hook on the top of the bracket is still alittle short and wont reach the hole. the bottom side bolt is perfect. I also searched for a "how to" thread and cant find one. does anyone have ANY pics of thier install I can see??

nevermind, I got one off a different site. more pics would still help though just to see how other people made thier bracket.

The bracket required is just a straight piece of steel with a hole on each end. It's not rocket science.

Or you can weld in a plate for the upper mounting point so it doesn't shift. Overkill, but stronger.

Seat belts from a B12 ('8?-'90) Sentra work as well. Just like the S14 belts, the upper (non-load-bearing) mount doesn't line up... but it's just a matter of a little creative bending and drilling a couple small holes to get them to mount very securely.

Bonus, if you have an S13 with the poo-brown interior you can find B12 belts in brown. :o
