so my car(just bought) is wrecked, i can go either way zenki or kouki, i kinda think kouki looks to jagged for the curves of the s14, but i dont know if it really is or if its just me trying to talk myself out of it(because of cost). what do you guys think?

They all have that certain appeal that can be made to look good.

I say choose according to budget (just stay zenki) then make that look good :).

I like both, and im in the same situation as you are. Either go kouki or zenki. To be honest, i like the way zenki looks, it's underestimated! Just do a clean zenki front and it will look sick. Stick with the Zenki!

Try starting with whether you want go more O.E. or aftermarket and then it may make your choice a bit easier. Both are expsensive and there are deals around (especially on zilvia).

ive been debating this in my head for about 4 years now. i tried to find a kouki but couldnt. i decided to get a zenki then convert it. i fell in love with the front end and never did.

my front end consists of german glass headlights, navan grill, and the SE lip.

im gonna paint my car soon and i may convert it. but if i were you, i'd stick with the zenki front end and put the conversion last on your list.

Zenki looks good with subtle kit or lip, slammed, and FK/Supermade or german headlights..

Kouki looks pretty boss with wide fenders, huge aggressive aero, crazy wheels, etc.. But stock body, especially US bumper, looks pretty lame imo.

i agree and have always thought kouki fronts didnt match the round s14 body lines in the rear, but they are still sexy and i love the Kouki front end, very agressive and bold, but ive seen some zenkis that i have fallen in love with, slammed, agressively fitted wheels, a front lip or clean aero. etc. a clean 14 is a clean 14 kouki or zenki, if you pull it off right its sexy either way.

IMO, the kouki USDM bumper is absolute garbage, it does the car an incredible disservice, and as such, should be the first thing replaced.

The Zenki is more kosher from the factory, at the trade off of being a bit dull/boring. Some amber corners, a decent grill, and euro lights are needed to make it pop off.

Either way, they both require some work. They are both really nice, for completely different reasons.

so i got mine... made it hot... it grew on me... cars bent now... so getting a new one and swapping all my stuff over

zenki with gcorp/fk/supermade headlight covers and no grille with kouki taillights = hotness

The USDM kouki bumper is much more functional, separate holes for the fog lights and then ducting for brakes or intake. and with the lip it is the sex..... you said Zenki is "kosher" and dull/boring which immediately equals SHITTY! I actually like the usdm bumper with the lip of course.
The entire time I was looking for a 240sx I wanted a kouki front (or car). Well settled for a zenki and found a kouki front in pretty good condition at a junkyard . The only thing I am lacking now are headlights. Now suddenly I am having a change of heart and want to stay zenki and you guys aren't making it any easier.

Lines flow better with the body that kouki imo. Usdm kouki front bumper is ass. Kouki looks good with a kit / jdm front.

zenki looks poo with yellowed lights. New usdm or german lights looks tits.

I've owned one kouki and two zenki's. I like both but I like the zenki more because it flows better into the original lines in the car IMHO. Cheaper to get parts for too because everyone gives the zenki stuff away.

yeh it looks nice i like the aero kit, it's actually the silvia Aero's package not the navan kit, only the wing is navan... The bumper and wing come on the Silvia K's Aero's and the rear valances and skirts are factory accessories made of abs plastic.

Yeah, I got a zenki and I love it. I think kouki's are a little too aggressive and the rest of the car needs to be modded to compliment that aggressive front end. And since s14's have smooth body lines the zenki headlights look like they match the car better.

personally i like the greddy lip the best, had 2 of them before they cracked and i just ended up getting the vs1/vertex front(imo one of the cleanest kits for zenki's) as seen from that black vertex zenki. The kit is classic as long as you have some clean shoes to go with it.

i got a Zenki, im not sure how to post a pic, its just the stock green with clear front turn signals.
i used to really want a Kouki, till i spent time wif the Zenki that fate handed me. i really wanted to get eyelines or do a kouki front conversion till i saw a kouki in person... and i wasnt as impressed cus it seemed so much better in pics. the front end seemed a bit overly pretentious and i din like all the plastic around the projectors in the lights.

its kinda cool, the way the Kouki always looks like its screaming (wif the right front bumper, not stock), but sumone once posted that the Zenki's are Sexy rather than Aggressive... and ever since then, it opened my eyes and ive never been the same. Zenfan, baby!
