ok, im a nissan (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?p=2051568&posted=1#) n00bie and I have only had my S13 for about 5 days. I want to do some sort of swap this summer if I can and im looking mainly at the rb20 and sr20 as they are the cheapest you can go and make decent power without mod. Right now im leaning towards rb20, the only thing that gets me is that there is a lack of guides for the swap. So I might try and find a shop. (if anyone knows any good shops in oregon, ncal, or washington, please let me know)

so far this is how the comparison goes..

RB20
*Makes more power
*Less chance to go boom
*Sounds badass

SR20
*Most everyone in the forums seems to think this is way better...

See what I want to do is just use this motor for my daily driving, and maybe to get a little sideways sometimes. I plan to later on build an engine (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?p=2051568&posted=1#) then swap it in. So I dont really care about what an SR can do after some mods. Thanks!

-Cory (yes this is sorta like trolling... but Im really trying to decide)

You're better off going with the MA09ERT. :ugh:

ive seen more rb20s blow than sr's.
what sr are you looking at, since it sounds like you want the cheapest route your porbably look at a redtop?

i like the rb20's just because im nostalgic and the old seden r32's back in the day slid really well them lol.

if you dont want custom work just do the SR. a redtop is a bit more expensive i believe, but you will save with install. SR has more aftermarket support and is easier to get parts for.
