alright its a pretty good possibility that im going to part with my wheels here soon.

the new set im wanting to do is an 18/19 stagger.
but i have no idea on what tire to put on the 19in. wheel.

the 19in wheel size is 19x10j +19
i plan to run a 225/40 on the front 18x9j

on my 18x10j i have a 265/35. since i am making good power numbers, around 480whp, i really didnt want to go any smaller with tires. but i think i would have to with a 19.

that one dude, cleans14 i believe got away with a 19x10.5j with a 245 on stock body w/ roll only.
could i still do a 265 maybe?

basically my question is
can i fit a 19in. 265 under stock body s14 rear fenders with just a roll and still tuck tire?
what sidewall would i need to go with also?

i was going to post in fitment whore thread, but i thought maybe it would get more traffic here.

thanks!

265/30 should be fine on 19x10 wheels for rolled fenders.
What's the "j" for on your sizes (ex:19x10j +19)?
I've run 285/35 on 19x10.5 w/ overfenders and am gonna use 275/35 soon.

cool thanks. looks like according to that calculator it will be damn near the same.

Specification---- Sidewall----Radius----Diameter----Circumference----Revs/Mile----Difference
265/35-18--------3.7in ------12.7in-----25.3in -------79.5in -----------797 ---------0.0%
265/30-19--------3.1in-------12.6in-----25.3in--------79.4in------------798-------- -0.2%

still would like some input. not sure how accurate that is.

would stretch be the same with a 265/35/18 and a 265/30/19?
thanks

From a performance standpoint, your front tires are stupid narrow if you are running a 265 or larger in back. Unless you are drag racing or just showing off, why not run a 245 or 255 up front. It's not like you are going for the "stretched" look anyways with those rear tires.

Edit- and i would look into a 265 35 19 rear. The 30 series is too short for my preference and the health of your wheel.

I just test fitted a 275/35, the sidewall on it is huge. The 265/35 is not much different.
I plan on going 265/30/19 but on a 10.5

na no drag racing.
right now i have a 235/40/18 on my front 9in. and thats a disaster. sidewall is way too tall. i dont know what i was thinking when i ordered those.
usually from what ive seen the 225/40/18 looks good on a 9.

my goal is to keep stock fenders and still be low with a good amt. of tire. a 30 series does worry me though.

i figured a 275 would be huge. maybe i should do a 255

you do realize that 265/30 on a 18 or 19 is the same right. 30 is % of the width which is determine for the sidewall. Also you are keeping your width the same, so in theory your stretch should be the same. Then all you have to determine right now is that since your wheel is 1in larger (diameter) do you want to get smaller sidewall to compensate for the 19. If so do a calculation. However since you are tucking anyways, you can get away getting the same tires 265/35 but your wheel would be a little taller (by 1inch) because of the wheel size.

If it was me, I go as wide as possible... I dont drift. I drag race and autox.

trsilvias13 is right. The only thing same about a 265/30 and 265/35 is width and sidewall thickness. The diameter and circumference is bigger.
If you can fit a 265/40/18, then you can fit a 265/35/19.

Use this tire calculator, you can compare up to 4 tires.

Follow what the calculator says, 265/30 19 is the same as far as total diameter compared to 265/35 18. Total diameter is what you want to be the same.

word 265/30/19 it is
cool that i can keep the 265 part

but thanks guysfor the future reference

just a fyi,for the future, if you change the sidewall to 30, the stretch would be total different and the sidewall would be different. This might cause a harsher ride, but over diameter would be closely the same as compare to your current set up.

thats what i told my girl when she complained about my 18's.

"it's alot bouncier than before"

looking good has consequences...just like when you wear heels.

"oh, i can relate"

just wait till i get my 19's...gonna be harsh.

I was thinking 265/30 19

Does that mean I'm like the calculator?

Dope....
