View Full Version : HKS Wastegate problem

I bought an HKS wastegate and the head has a crack in it right at one of the bolts. See pic

Would it be ok to use a dremel to make a gash where the crack is and then weld it back together. Obviously I would have to put a bolt in to keep the hole from warping but does anyone think this will work

people prob wont believe me but I have used this stuff on all kinds for crap from oil pans to cracked wheels. Its called Minute Mend... its an epoxy putty that you cut and mix. you can sand it, paint it, whatever... shit works thats all i have to say

it looks like that pice is aluminum . i bet that you could take that flange off and take it to be welded up by an experienced professional .
