clutch not disengaging

i have a t-5 g-force dog box with a sr bellhousing for my car. i just swapped a the set up out of a formula d drift car. most of the time when i put the car in first it wants to move forward. almost as much when you take your foot off the brake on a a/t and creep forward. i have tried bleeding the clutch and not help. i have tried to ajust the clutch pedal and that didnt work either. any ideas

what type of clutch are you using?

both brand new and i forgot to mention they are hydrilic

hey dude, i had this same problem.

im not sure which it was that i did that fixed it, since i did 3 things at once, but the dustboot on the clutch fork was half off, so i put it on all the way, then i replaced the slave cylinder with a new one, put on an SS line and bypassed the dampers.


are you sure you adjusted the pedal in the correct way? on the fork there is a nut on the side closest to the firewall, loosen the nut and spin the rod with your hands until there are almost no threads on the side closest to YOU. tighten the nut, and your pedal is adjusted as far as it can.

i think its the other way but ill try that after i get a new diff cause the car doesnt move at the moment.

Are you reusing the stock clutch pedal assembly and hydraulics?


On my S13 with T5, I reused the stock master cylinder. We had to completely remove the clutch pedal stopper bolt and bracket (cut if off) in order to adjust the master cylinder rod all the way to give enough pedal travel to completely disengage the clutch.

Even with that, I still have grinding in reverse. Feels like the clutch is almost not quite disengaged.

maybe a really weak pressure plate...i had that problem..
and thats what it was haha...

no its not, i just did this literally 3 days ago.

get under the car, closest to the firewall on the clutch master fork where your pedal connects there is a threaded rod with a nut. loosen the nut, and spin the rod so that the side closest to the driver (the opposite side of the nut) has as little threads as possible.

that raises the engagement point on the clutch

I don't have pix of this right now, but there's no real need for pix.

If you look where the back of the clutch pedal is, on the back there is a stopper bolt. The stopper bolt is bolted onto the clutch pedal bracket. So even if you removed the bolt and let the clutch pedal extend completely, the pedal will hit the bracket.

All I did was cut off the bracket and let the clutch pedal extend as far as the spring and master cylinder will let it go. There really wasn't any other way to reuse the stock master and have enough fluid be pushed to move the T5 slave with the stock pedal travel.

how do i get the fork away from the pedal. when i try to push the fork down to get it off of the fork it feels like it wants to break.

i got it to adjust but im still having the problem. when i put the car into gear, with the e-brake on, it stalls out.
