Gabriele Tarquini, and probably any of the good touring car drivers from the 90's (John Cleland, Steve Soper, etc.)

Touring car drivers are insane.

i don't really know any race car drivers

i mean, i've heard of andrettis, unsers, earnhardts, etc.. the really famous ones

and some like gilles villeneuve who were really good but not mainstream famous

but i'm not a fan

i couldn't care less what they did or if they win or not. :2f2f:

Hamilton
Senna
Mcrae
Sebastian Borday (forgot how to spell it)

There are other whose skill I respect but dont feel like naming them off. I was taught to never idolize another driver because subconciously you can make yourself feel like you can never become greater. But I can respect these drivers for what they do/did.

luftrofl
05-18-2008, 01:06 AM
V8 supercars- Craig Lowndes
WRC- Petter Solberg

I'm more of a fan of bike racing though- Valentino Rossi, Troy Bayliss, and Noriyuki Haga, both Bostrom Bros., and Garry McCoy are my favorites.

Hmmmm.....let's see..

Michael Schumacher: Not because he pretty much dominated F1, but because of his charity work. Which he does very humbly, quietly, and with little recognition. He does stuff with unicef, and has opened schools in africa etc.

Ayrton Senna: Well, this one is pretty obvious.

Zanardi: Because he is the comeback kid. A testament to human perseverance, and just a nice guy in general.

David Purley: Because he is a fucking hero,

Senna did simular

Senna and Mansell *another one of my favorites* having a lilttle bonding momment *hahha check out Senna's body language*
http://youtube.com/watch?v=S8dfNvAvHTA

Zanardi and Niki Lauda are outstanding guys who came back after their bad accidents... Zanardi lost his legs but came back.. Lauda almost burned to death, and came back.

not as known as collin mcrae, but Richard Burns was awesome, he passed due to a desease in 05
http://youtube.com/watch?v=BF2xoyCCrRY

Richard Burns rally was by far the best driving game I have ever played in my life. Period. It's incredibly real.

Jackie Stewart was definitely awesome. He did a lot for F1. Before him, F1 was like death race 2000, but he lobbied a lot for safety. Back then, the sport was extremely unsafe.

I dont get how a country as rich into racing as japan is, aint on the same world level as other countrys like europe etc.. as far as drivers.. *im excluding the drifters, because if you dont follow japanese drifting, then you dont know em*
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zg4-HiAK3dI
http://youtube.com/watch?v=cVbnt71DkOc&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=gnhUSZUqgjU&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=2G0C_qyyfsk

Not many historic drivers come out of japan, and their cars arent really valued as much as european cars.. perhaps is the mass production of cars i dont know. Once in a blue moon, a historic japanese car will pop up like the Imsa Z cars of the 90s and the mazda 787b le mans car, but no japanese drivers behind em.

Perhaps im misunderstanding since living in the US we dont get to see japanese auto racing stars come up. If they broadcast Formula Nippon or Super GT id check em out. Most of the prior japanese racing videos i posted above, maybe because they where more exclusive to japan only..
