ok simply put my car does not have all the power it should have on 22 psi. i know this because i raced a car that traps 110 in the quarter and he hung with me no problem. at 22 psi i should be around 400 whp, it definetly does not feel like it. I have a feeling that the worn turbo may be causing the problems, it does have quite a bit of up and down shaft play but little to no in and out shaft play. the only problem with that hypothesis is that the turbo never smokes or anything that would indicate a worn out turbo. so can bad turbo bearings create a huge loss in horsepower? the only other 2 weak links are the cheap ebay intercooler and my spec clutch is only rated to 300 ft lbs but it does not slip. afrs are a safe 11:1 and timing under full load is about 9-10* and there are no major boost leaks that i know of.

Set Up:
KA24DE
AMS GT32
650cc injectors
Calum
2.5" intercooler piping
Tial Gate
Hallman MBC
JGS BOV
and the other basic shit.

thanks in advance!

if the turbo is not smoking or screaming, and is able to boost 22lbs then i doubt its bad

does it run good otherwise?

ya the car runs great. can a clutch slip and the car still accelerate hard?

If the clutch slips that much you should smell it.

you should def get it dynoed and put any questions on the HP #'s to rest.

I live over by AMS and talk to them quite a bit and i'm almost positive that they stopped carrying the GT32 because they had so many problems with them so i mean it might just be the turbo

I think if your turbo is worn the boost wouldn't go up to 22psi on the gauge. If it was due to shaft play the turbine would rub against the turbo housing which would keep it from boosting high. But if anything you should run a compression test or hit up a dyno machine.

hope this helps.
