Alright I need some help. I have a redtop SR. I just changed the stock oil pan to a Greddy pan. That is the only change. Pulled the old pan, used a good razor blade cleaned all the old silicone off, let all the oil drip off, cleaned it real good, used ultra black rtv, installed new pan. I let it sit for about a day so the rtv would set up nice, and filled it up with oil. Let it sit for a couple hours just to make sure it sealed up nice, good to go, no leaks. Well I started up the car tonight, and as soon as I did the oil pressure light was on! WTF, I shut it down right away, went and double checked the oil level, still good. WTF? Any thoughts? I never had any pressure problems before. What holds the pick-up on, is there a chance that it dropped down? I made sure to clean the screen out and make sure that none of the old silicone was in there before I put it back together. What could be the problem? I'm gonna have to pull the pan again tomorrow to check, but thought I'd try to get some advise or push in the right direction before I just start tearing things apart. HELP HELP HELP.

I need to get this fixed in the next day or 2 because I have an event coming up on sunday that I already paid for and is non-refundable.

did you add the extra quart of oil for the new pan?

the pickup is held on by two bolts, they're only spot welded on the flange...and can sometimes break off. Time to pop off that pan again :)

Prime, you drained all the oil and let it sit overnight....

Hold on.... prime it again.... LIke he said....

But in case you don't know what that means, pull your fuel pump fues, remove the CAS plug, and crank the engine for 5-10 times. Turn off car plug everything up again and fuse and all and try to start...

I primed that cock sucker so much, that is not the issue. I guess I'm gonna have to pull the pan tomorrow and try to figure this shit out. Hopefully the pick-up just had an issue. Any other advise would be great.
