anyone know the jumper settings and perhaps have a little more information for the install of this application?

i'm a little bit confused as this will be my first piggyback install.

for instance, some signals ask for input and output, however there is only one wire, do i assume that i attach input to the ecu and output to the outgoing wire/sensor?

any bit of advice on this subject would be appreciated.

It'll be the exact same for an S14 with the possibility of different wire colors in the harness. Think about it, same engine, same signals, same unit doing the same thing.

If it's anything like the base Emanage all you do is cut and tee into the MAF signal, ignition signal, and tie into the injectors, TPS, and tach.

ok, i just finished splicing, cutting and reconnections all the wires necessary, however the ecu doesn't turn on when it's on the ign on position, KOEO. i tested the voltage going to the wires and it was only 1.3v koeo, i tried both pins 47 and 38.

haven't tried to start the car yet, but the MIL doesn't turn on KOEO.

there's a constant wire (red, pins 109 and 46) but i don't want constant.

any ideas? the active light isn't on...

Go to www.mohdparts.com.... they should have most of it... If you can't figure out by looking at the install manual included in the kit, then bring it to someone.... The install manual will include the ecu pinout of the SR20DET or the KA24DE. THe SR20DET pinout will be in the Japanese manual. The KA24DE should be in the US.... its not hard at all.... Its injector signal, ignition signals, mafs, tach, power, ground. I think that is about it...

ok, i figured it out. ignition switch meant power, not ignition signal. haha

so where's ignition signal? is it the power transistor? pin 1?

this is for s13 ka24de, the manual has the pinout for s14, but not s13. unfortunately, i don't have the ecu pinout for s14 so i can't compare the two...

ok, just looked it up, ignition signal is power transistor, pin 1. curious to find out which maf signal i need also.

i got maf code 12.

there's maf signal input pin 16
and maf ground pin 17

i spliced pin 16, but still get a code? hmm

just attached ign ch1 input to ecu pin 1 power transistor and
ign ch1 output to ecu pin 1, car wouldn't start, just turns over.

so i reattached the power transistor and car started just fine. not getting ign signal nor adjustment, maf code is still causing the car to run funny.

am i missing something?

the car was previous auto, and is using an auto ecu, but i converted it to manual.

edit - i think the emanage maybe damaged, it seems like everything should work now, my friend is going to swap his and see tomorrow.

ok, i was severely impressed by how some guy posted a how-to about the s14, so i wanted to post mine, however, i'm not sure if it's correct (car starts, minus for bad MAF and ign signals). however, i've checked it against several other threads for maf/ign signals and it's right. the emanage i got was kinda free and remanu so maybe it's just the EMU.

anyways, here's my drawing

why don't you post what are the pins as well.... that is what I meant, all you need to know is out there and guess will for sure f... up your emanage which it seemed like you did....

ok, brand new emanage in the car, it's working and everything runs fine.

only problem is the ignition signal doesn't read right. idles at -50 and jumps down to -200 or -400 sometimes.

someone told me ignition doesn't read on the ka24 when you datalog. can anyone confirm this?
