HOLY mad cows! That was one FAST AE86!!!! It was crazy how it pulled from the red one!! Absolutely nuts...
BTW yes, it's a Cosmo Sport 20b 3-rotor engine. Only this has been converted from twin sequential to a big single turbo.

he needs a cheap car so he's getting an AE86!? Those cars are EXPENSIVE... all that maintanance, possible engine rebuild, paint, dings dents exhaustleak everything! Don't buy an AE86 if you're looking for a "cheap" car-- they're anything but that!

Oh yes i've seen this option video. Crazy AE86 . . . Those cars are so versatile that's why I want one when I can afford another car other than my 240.

Had you built that car 9 years ago, you would have spent over $70,000 and would have finished it about 3 years ago.

Adey,

Like I said, that was total spent. Keep in mind, you're working on a 17-year old car, with a higher demand & lower availbilty in parts.
I'm sure, if you didn't go for a transformation, from what's considered "junk vehicle" condition, to I guess...."JDM Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex" conversion, you wouldn't have spent as much.

I worked on restoration first "or getting it driveable", footwork & suspension mods next, then exterior, i.e. "looks" last.

Here's a thread on the progress of my car, at Club 4AG:
2/2002 - 11/2002 (http://forums.12hundred.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14373)

Except for the engine swap, transmission rebuild, alternator, & paint/ body work; I worked on everything myself.
